# Profile & Account

## Creating your account

Sign up with your email address, or use Google or Apple sign-in for a faster setup.

## Phone verification

When you sign up, we text a 6-digit code to your phone number. Enter it in the app to verify the number. One phone number can be used for one account, and signing up with Google or Apple doesn't change this step.

Verifying your phone number is required before you can:

* Withdraw wallet credit as cash
* Ship items (shipping from the reveal screen needs a verified phone too)

Selling back doesn't require verification.

If you haven't verified yet, you'll see a reminder on your Wallet and Inventory pages. Tap "Verify now" to enter your number and the code we text you. Need a new code? Tap "Resend code" and we'll send a fresh one.

## Updating your profile

From your settings page, you can:

* Upload a profile picture
* Change your username
* Change your password (email sign-up accounts only)

## Password requirements

Passwords must be at least 8 characters and include one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.

## Signing in with Google or Apple

If you signed up with Google or Apple, you won't have a password to manage. Just sign in with the same provider each time.

## Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account from your profile settings. Before you do, please read this carefully.

<mark style="color:red;">**Ship or sell back all your items first. When your account is deleted, everything goes with it: your inventory, wallet balance, order history, and activity. We cannot recover any of it. There is no way to undo a deletion or retrieve items from a deleted account.**</mark>

To delete your account:

1. Go to your profile settings
2. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
3. Click "Delete account"
4. Type DELETE to confirm
